Beaune

Beaune is a historic wine town at the heart of Burgundy’s Côte d'Or, serving as both a cultural center and a key hub for some of the region’s most renowned wines. Located in the Côte de Beaune subregion, it is best known for elegant Pinot Noir and expressive Chardonnay, grown on limestone-rich slopes with ideal exposure. While Beaune lacks Grand Cru vineyards, it boasts numerous high-quality Premier Cru sites, producing refined, age-worthy wines that reflect the area's complex terroir. Beaune is also home to many of Burgundy’s top négociants—like Louis Jadot, Bouchard Père & Fils, and Joseph Drouhin—who have helped elevate its global reputation. With its rich winemaking tradition, historic cellars, and the famed Hospices de Beaune wine auction, Beaune remains a cornerstone of Burgundian wine culture.
