Vidal, or Vidal Blanc, is a white hybrid grape created from Ugni Blanc and Rayon d’Or, valued for its thick skins, high acidity, and ability to ripen well in cool climates. It is best known for Canadian icewine, where it produces concentrated flavors of tropical fruit, citrus, honey, and pear, though it can also make crisp dry and off-dry wines.
