Labels of Château Mouton Rothschild
Château Mouton Rothschild is famous not only for its Pauillac wine, but also for its tradition of commissioning a different artist to design the label for each vintage. Since 1945, the château has worked with major figures from the art world, turning each bottle into both a wine and a small piece of collectible visual history. Artists including Pablo Picasso, Salvador Dalí, Joan Miró, Andy Warhol, and David Hockney have all contributed designs over the decades. The changing labels have become part of Mouton Rothschild’s identity, connecting fine wine with contemporary art while making each vintage visually distinct.
